Three different kinds of saving
Saving a title to My List stores a reference to that movie or series in your browser. Creating a backup copies your list and checkpoints as text. Neither action downloads the film itself. That distinction matters when you are preparing for a flight or a place with no connection.
Check the viewing app before leaving
If the service you choose offers offline viewing, open its own app and look for a download control on the exact film or episode. The option can depend on the plan, territory, device and title. Start a test while you still have a connection, and check the app's expiry information instead of assuming an item will remain playable indefinitely.
Prepare the whole series session
Downloading one episode does not always queue a complete season. Check episode numbers, audio language, subtitles and available storage. A lower download quality can be a better travel choice than filling a phone with the first few large files. Keep enough battery for the journey and any later connection needed to refresh access.
